Biography
Bart Hamers (°1966) is co-founder of Across communications and joined Across Group in January 2008 as Chief Financial Officer. Additionally, he is active as an Account Director with a focus on Financial Services.
Bart built his career in various financial management and internal audit functions. Prior to working at Across Group, Bart was financial manager at the Sea-invest Group, an industrial holding with 1.2 billion euro turnover and 2,400 staff. At Sea-invest, Bart was, amongst other things, in charge of mergers and acquisitions, short and long term funding, internal auditing and accounting.
However, Bart is more than a number cruncher, he is also a music aficionado. Bart holds a music degree, specialisation Horn, from the Tilburg Conservatory. Almost at the same time, he obtained a master degree in Commercial and Financial Science, with a specialisation in Finance and Tax, at the Lessius Hogeschool in Antwerp. He also holds a master in Internal Auditing (University Antwerp Management School) and followed an Advanced Management Program at Vlerick Leuven Gent Business School.
Bart is a board member for various companies in diverse sectors.
