Biography
Dirk (°1974) is a seasoned e-marketeer with a great interest in innovation. Dirk loves to put on his thinking hat to come up with new and inspiring e-initiatives and strategies to move businesses forward, always with a clear ROI goal in mind. A holistic approach is key in creating the biggest win-win for all stakeholders involved. Dirk aims to deliver the highest possible added value by keeping a strong value based strategy at the heart of all he does: “be all that you can be for the people around you”
Dirk started his professional live as a marketeer in 1999 at jobsite Monster. He became Marketing Manager for Monster in Belgium a few years later, with responsibilities covering B2C marketing (above and below-the-line), B2B marketing, PR and website management. Dirk moved on to become Product Director for the Monster sites in the Benelux and Scandinavia, managing an international team of eight. After having spent 7,5 years at Monster, Dirk moved on to the cultural industry, where he wrote amongst other the functional requirements for the cultural portal site ‘uitinvlaanderen.be’. He left to join Randstad as e-communication manager, where his accomplishments consisted amongst other of getting a strategic online plan in place, growing traffic and connecting the website with the ERP system. After a short stay at Fitness First, he joined Across.
Dirk is a schooled jazz musician and holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship. The most important things in his life are his wife and 2 children. When there is some spare time left, he spends his time reading.
