Biography

Koen (°1977) is a specialist in mobile applications, mobile marketing and social media. Koen has always been at the forefront of new trends and technologies, assessing their potential impact on his customer’s top or bottom line. He has a special weak spot for business model innovation and how companies can compete not merely on price or quality, but by doing things differently.

Before joining Across Health, Koen was a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM, specialized in mobile and pervasive computing. He assisted customers in leveraging mobile technologies for sales force or field force automation, to increase operational efficiency, or to create greater marketing reach. He left IBM for Telindus (later acquired by Belgacom),  where he helped establish a business unit on mobility. Later, he became Solution Manager for the broader domain of “Collaboration”.

Koen holds a Master in Computer Science and an MBA in Entrepreneurship. He feels it is important to approach technology from a customer-perspective and see how it can create value for the customer or the customer’s customer.

In his spare time, Koen enjoys the company of his newborn son, as well as his weekly game of volleyball.
