Biography
Raf (°1972) started his e-career with Telenet, the leading "triple play" company in Belgium, as their intranet manager and webmaster. In 2002, he joined Janssen-Cilag, a top-10 pharmaceutical company with a leadership position in CRM and eBusiness, at their EMEA Centre of Excellence. There, he played a key role in the international success and rollout of a common ebusiness platform and best practices. His support was comprehensive - from development testing and change management, through content management, online surveys, search engine marketing and email campaigns or templates. In addition, he initiated many successful web analytics projects for the central team and for business leaders and webmasters in the local countries. He was also appointed as training manager for Europe, and later on, for the entire world. During this period, he created easy-to-use e-learning and other educational materials, and instructed numerous webmasters via the internet and onsite in the US, UK, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Portugal, Greece, and more. He also created an online training portal and a training newsletter.
Raf joined Across in February 2008. He became an e-consultant for several Johnson & Johnson operating companies worldwide: Janssen, LifeScan, Janssen Animal Health, Virco, Tibotec, etc. He typically works as an international project manager, supporting e-marketing teams in bringing web initiatives online, in cooperation with nearby and offshore development teams and agencies. Training and supporting people in the creation and aftermath of online project launches is really his cup of tea.
Raf holds a university degree in Kinesiology and Revalidation Sciences with a specialization in manual therapy.
In his spare time, his daughter Jade and his girlfriend are his top priorities. Next to this, digital photography, cycling and music are Raf’s biggest passions. He plays the trumpet in a big band and brass quintet with some of his best friends.
