Biography
Rorik van Welij (°1984) is what you would call a real self-starter. When he was sixteen he was among one of the youngest Internet entrepreneurs in Europe to successfully launch his own Internet agency.
After selling parts of his business he took the opportunity to study and work abroad for companies including Royal Dutch Philips in China and Novartis in Switzerland, where he researched innovative marketing initiatives. He was later responsible for the development of national and regional strategic plans for Novartis, during a stint in Slovenia.
Rorik has always combined his work for MNCs with his own activities: developing innovative and effective online marketing concepts for a range of national and international companies, local governments and own (on-line) concepts in the telecom and financial industry - Europe-wide. His passion for the Internet has made him an expert in all key areas of internet marketing with a strong focus on search engine optimization (SEO), search engine advertising (SEA) and effective social media marketing.
His entrepreneurial eBusiness background, combined with his international project experience within the Pharma industry gives him a unique view on the current Pharma landscape.
For Across Health he has been appointed as Management Consultant in Basel, Switzerland, where he will build new relationships and intensify Across Health’s current activities in the country.
In addition to his activities at Across Health Rorik is involved in several promising Internet concepts in Europe. He enjoys traveling and most outdoor activities.
