Biography
In his career, Ruud Kooi (°1973) has founded and owned two healthcare marketing and e-business firms. Born and raised in the Netherlands, Ruud has lived in Zimbabwe and Belgium. He also spent a number of years in South Africa where he founded his first company, The Basics, which specialized in online healthcare marketing with a focus on market research, e-ROI analysis, web strategy and project management. After moving back to the Netherlands in 2006, Ruud merged his company with Across Health.
Ruud has been responsible for leading our clients Johnson & Johnson and Janssen in the past, while currently he is taking care of Roche and Actelion worldwide. In 2010 Ruud and his team delivered 2 projects in Roche that are now considered global internal best practices.
Ruud brings a unique mix of entrepreneurship, project management skills and hands-on experience in healthcare. Ruud excels in getting things done, based upon a full stakeholder supported approach focusing on meeting the overall company objectives. Ruud is used work and communicate with people from diverse cultures and in many styles, which makes a perfect fit for leading international project teams in a global business.
As VP Europe North, Ruud is responsible for managing the Across Health affiliates in the Netherlands, UK, Germany, Switzerland & the Nordics.
Ruud holds university degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management Science. He also acquired a PMP (Project Management Professional) degree in 2003.
Living in the countryside, Ruud spends most of his free time with his wife and two sons enjoying the outdoors. In his spare time, Ruud loves to play golf.
