Biography
Jean-Christophe Steels (°1977) joined Across in 2010 as senior consultant and expert in the field of information management and business/IT relationship. He has more than 11 years of consultancy experience. Combining a clear business focus with a solid IT background, Jean-Christophe efficiently mixes hard skills and pragmatism with right brain thinking and vision.
After a master in computer science, Jean-Christophe started his career has IT consultant. During this period, Jean-Christophe gained a deep understanding of IT challenges, tools & techniques. He then joined Business & Decision and focused enterprise information management, accompanying the business on information governance and quality topics, business ownership and business/IT relationship. Jean-Christophe was involved with the development and implementation of several information management strategies and transformation roadmaps mainly in the financial sector.
At Business & Decision Jean-Christophe rapidly became domain manager. In this context, he developed the B&D group data governance vision and service offering. He also co-authored several publications around information management and governance.
Jean-Christophe is committed, constructive and solution oriented and has excellent communication skills. In his spare time he likes sports - he has a black belt in Judo and is a former member of the Scott Belgian mountain bike team - reading books, and playing with his two little daughters.
