Biography

Tim De Coninck (°1980) joined Across Communications as a Senior Consultant. After working for various television production firms, he co-founded a successful online cell-phone operator for BASE.  Before starting at Across Technology, Tim worked for two years in advertising for international communication agencies including DDB and Grey. During this period, his expertise in digital marketing was called upon for several digital projects for both national and international clients (ArcelorMittal, D’Ieteren Group, Fortis, Henkel, Luminus, Manpower, Velux and Viessmann), and included leading the online strategy for the global brand launch of Fortis in 2008. Having seen the potential of social networks, he launched the first-ever brand page on the Netlog community in a fully integrated campaign.

His new interest lies in the use of IDTV for commercial purposes, and interactive ‘killer’ applications in social media that offer value to both clients and users. His constant aim is to move brands to a higher level and turn them into customer obsessed love brands.

Throughout his career, Tim has gained an in-depth understanding of how business is run and how communication, marketing and IT work together in scalable collaboration and communication platforms for both internal and external use.

Tim’s current work includes account management of NorthgateArinso, project management for SWIFT and new business creation.

As a digital native, Tim does not only work online - he lives online (except when he takes his dog out for occasional long walks). In his spare time, he’s to be found browsing his feeds, behind his Playstation or with friends, and drinking whisky while discussing future business ideas.
