Phases of Change management

1.  Planning

  • Identification and agreement of the outcomes that the change programme should produce
  • Gaining executive sponsorship
  • Assessment of the readiness of the organisation
  • Realisation planning showing key actions and responsibilities  (RACI) to achieve the required change, including milestones
  • Proper communication planning at all levels with clearly identified stakeholder groups for resistance management and support building

2.  Execution and Implementation

  • Implementing and monitoring the actions outlined in the plan, carefully assessing progress and if necessary revising the plan
  • Structured communication plan and mechanisms to inform staff about the change programme and how it will affect them.
  • Education and training
  • Active resistance management by listening to and monitoring of feedback on the planned changes during implementation, and identifying areas where resistance is being encountered.

3.  Sustaining

  • Measuring the progress achieved against the benefits and the outcomes identified at the start.
  • Identification of gaps and resistance to identify possible corrective actions to reinforce the change.

Profile description

  • A proven expert in all phases of Change Management (see below) and IT transformation, turning it into a strategic asset
  • expected to establish value-adding relationships with executive level, assisting them in determining effective change strategies and in implementing them
  • having the experience and skills to develop new (organisation) models that are better aligned to the business goals and needs
  • having the ability to influence various stakeholders when issues are complex/ difficult and require diplomacy
  • key competencies: autonomy, flexibility, customer focus, empathy, pragmatism, result driven, problem analysis and judgment, influencing and persuasiveness, commitment, courage and self confidence
  • key skills: project management, workshop facilitation, training and efficient use of Office and change management tools
  • minimal 7 to 10 years of proven change management experience
  • languages: Dutch, French, English
