Caroline Vander Straeten (1979) is a Consultant for ACROSS Health. Her recent achievements include managing several high-profile Paneuropean Medical Education projects for a leading pharma company. There she acts as the glue all the way from top management to operating companies – and back. In addition, she is overseeing a unique worldwide Key Opinion Leader network, with a view to creating and implementing high-value educational strategies.
Caroline, a doctor in veterinary medicine, gained sales experience in the automotive industry during her student years. After graduating, she was a full-time vet in a small animal clinic. Her interest in business, however, made her turn to the corporate world.
After training in marketing management at the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, she started her International MBA training, also at Vlerick.
Before joining Across Health, Caroline worked in B2B/B2C at Janssen Animal Health as an International Product Manager. She was part of the team that launched the first medicine to fight overweight and obesity in dogs. She was also responsible for the JAH presence at important international congresses. As for product training, website set-up and marketing, technical product support, marketing plans: been there, done that.
Caroline thrives on innovation and creativity, witness her winning the Vacature Vlerick Winter Academy 2006 and her strong interest in brainstorms and improvisation sessions.
Caroline spends her downtime playing tennis. She's passionate about any form of art (design, modern art, dance, ...) and is last but not least a proud member of De Warande and Bu!ld, an independent network for ambitious and open-minded young professionals from different Belgian communities who are interested in taking up leading roles in society.
