All scenarios point to an omnichannel future… but how do we get there?

Fonny Schenck, CEO of Across Health, reflects on the changes which have (not) been happening in the field of customer engagement in pharma. While he launched his first HCP website 20 years ago, at the same time as many other industries were getting going with the internet, pharma has not kept up with recent developments – with many still continuing to rely on their fieldforce for the majority of customer interaction.

However, the tidal wave is coming. With the majority of physicians now ‘digital natives’, and the speed of change in medical information, the landscape is certainly changing. Digital engagement is path dependent. This means that the ability of pharma to adapt to future scenarios is largely defined now.
