Art Director Karel Sas (°1951) started his professional life with Brepols Printing but soon spread his wings as an independent graphic designer launching his own successful design agency in 1977.
He joined Johnson & Johnson in 1984, first as their senior designer, then promoted to art director. He led a strong team, dedicated to branding and designing campaigns for a wide range of global pharmaceutical products. As one of the most experienced creatives in the communication team at Janssen Pharmaceutica, he specialized in product and corporate branding, and multimedia project design in marketing, CRM, internal communication and meeting & event (internal & external) design.
The geographic scope of his projects ranged from programs for the Belgian sales & marketing company Janssen-Cilag and Janssen Pharmaceutica, to several European and even global projects for Johnson & Johnson.
Despite his highly successful schooling at the Academy of Fine Arts in Turnhout, Karel considers himself as a pragmatic, hands-on expert, trained and weathered in the school of daily business practice. He is unparalleled and passionate in all phases of a typical project - from innovative concept to campaign design and implementation. This unique mix of experience, customer focus and passion ensure that all of his key customers end up wholeheartedly "recommending him to a friend".

In his parallel life, he is a lover of all things Italian; a friend of London's Tate Modern; a mate on a Mediterranean yacht and a fan of world cinema (he is actively involved in the Turnhout Opendoek International Film Festival).
