As a Biochemistry graduate from Imperial College London, Gareth’s career in pharma started when he joined a growing and ambitious healthcare advertising agency based in Windsor, England.

Within an agency context, Gareth found that his scientific background and associated analytical nature naturally suited digital work. With the focus of pharma marketing shifting increasingly towards digital, Gareth seized the opportunity to specialise in this field. He took on several website projects, managed various video (filmed and animated) productions, trained a multitude of stakeholders on a multilingual CMS, worked on numerous iPad HCP campaigns, and most recently was responsible for the development of category leading multi-platform Smartphone applications.

Aside from the implementation of digital tactics, Gareth never loses sight of the bigger picture and the overriding strategy. He is experienced in devising clear and effective brand strategies, whilst he also understands that digital work provides far better tracking opportunities than achieved traditionally. He is also a firm believer that strategy in the digital age should therefore be fluid and “fusion”.

Gareth is settling very well into Switzerland, his adopted country, and tries to enjoy as much of what it has to offer as possible. It is very much a year of two halves for him, with snowboarding being the focus in winter and triathlons taking the lead come summer, albeit interspersed with some social rugby with his local club Luzern RFC.
