Marco Hamburger
Marco (°1974) is an online marketing expert, who joined Across Health in August 2011.
He grew up near Cologne, Germany, where he did a business management training at major supplier to the automotive industry, after he came back from a two-year stay abroad in Israel and Kenya. Later on he studied business administration with a focus on Controlling.
His professional career started in the Sales division of the a. m. automotive supplier. Afterwards he became a regional manager for a financial company in Cologne and then moved to an advertising agency in Düsseldorf, owned by Deutsche Post AG. In 2004 he took over the sales management of the whole agency and the leadership of the agency office in Berlin, where he moved in 2005. The focus was on direct marketing campaigns for major clients such as Ford, Henkel, Bayer, Vattenfall, Bionorica etc. The projects were carried out directly with the marketing departments as well as via supervising agencies.
In Berlin, Marco got into contact with many owners of national and international startups. Marco personally caught fire for this innovative and rapidly developing business. Therefore, since 2007 his focus as a freelancer is on consulting internet startups and their customers in sales and online marketing. Via one of his longtime clients, a big health portal, he has also worked together with several pharmaceutical companies, such as Janssen, Pfizer and Jenapharm, helping them to market their products & services on health portals and social media.
In his spare time, Marco enjoys travelling and the fantastic options in Berlin: like having dinner in the autenthic districs Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain & Prenzlauer Berg, visiting the Museumsinsel or playing Beachvolleyball in one of many Berlin parks.
