Chris Van der Auwera joined Across as a senior management consultant. Chris is an expert in advising industries at the verge of liberalization, industries facing new market conditions and the launch and management of new innovative services. Additionally, he has excellent skills in interfacing with sales, finance, marketing and ICT department/people, in responding and anticipating customers’ expectations and excellent skills in new business management.
Chris holds a Master degree in Commercial sciences, a second degree in International marketing obtained in Germany and an additional executive MBA in general management at the Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School.
Before he joined Across, Chris was active in the management of major national and international projects and the start-up of companies/divisions within subsidiaries of international companies. Amongst other things, he was part of the start-up and launch of Dutch and German mobile and fixed operations (Belgacom). Next to this, he co-started the foundation of Essent Belgium for which he had profit and loss responsibilities. He left Essent Belgium to manage worldwide operations as COO of a leading IP company. Next to this, Chris also has experience in change management for leading companies as McKinsey, VRT and De Post.
Chris has 3 children and runs together with his wife an architectural firm. He is passionate about marketing, psychology, mountainbiking and martial arts. Next to it, he is the president of the international MBA Alumni of the Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School, member of different socio-cultural service clubs and mentor of some foreign MBA students. His objective is to motivate and guide young MBA students to entrepreneurship.
