Peter Hinssen (1969) is co-founder of ACROSS Group and Managing Director of ACROSS Technology. An entrepreneur, lecturer and writer, he is also the chairman of Porthus (listed Brussels stock exchange) and has been an Entrepreneur in Residence with McKinsey & Company.
Peter Hinssen served as founder and CEO of e-COM Interactive, one of the leading Internet consultancy firms in Europe. With e-Com, Peter was responsible for the implementation of large-scale Internet, e-commerce projects and information systems for DHL Worldwide Express, S.W.I.F.T., BBL, Alcatel, SONY Europe, Belgacom and Volvo.
Peter is currently actively involved as a coach to executives to develop future perspectives and scenarios, and is an active coach to several boards of directors of publicly traded companies on subjects related to (the future of) technology and IT.
He develops executive education workshops and awareness sessions to bridge business challenges with IT solutions, and to leverage the hidden potential of IT as a business innovation enabler.
Peter is the author of Business/IT Fusion. How to move beyond Alignment and transform IT in your organization (January 2009). He frequently writes columns in CIO and IT professional magazines such as a.o. Information Business Technology Networks (USA) and Smart Business Strategies (B) and is a contributing editor for WiReD magazine. Peter lectures at various business schools in Europe such as TiasNimbas Business School (the Netherlands), Controllers Institute Amsterdam, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School (Belgium) and London Business School (UK).
