Benchmark your digital strategy with your peers

Thank you all for the astonishingly positive response to our 2010 eMarketing survey. The survey was a true success in terms of the number of participants: +200 EMEA pharma stakeholders of which +120 completed the full survey! Thank you for taking the time to share your insights with us and your fellow participants.
As we are in the last stage of finalizing the report, I would like to already share 3 key findings with you.

1.    In non-pharmaceutical companies +20% of the marketing budget goes to internet channels. In pharma this number hardly reaches 1% (source Cegedim – Dendrite)!  Knowing that 90% of physicians in Europe are using the Internet on a daily basis it is clear that there is still a steep learning curve as far as using the Internet for business purposes is concerned. This is confirmed by 72% of our respondents.

2.    As more stakeholders begin to understand the value that can be generated by eBusiness, +70% claim they include digital opportunities in the budget and marketing planning process! This is excellent news.

3.    And 60% already have standard procedures in place for using the Internet in CUSTOMER FACING activities…

Does your company have Standard Operating Procedures or other procedures for the use of the Internet in customer-facing activities?
 
Yes indeed, we still have a long way to go, but the above signs are highly encouraging!
