IT Strategy professionals

This role is the first in an exciting and innovative new team of consultants within a growing consultancy.
Through business transformation initiatives we help our clients gaining insight in how to effectively manage their IT function, maximize the business value from their IT investments and build sustainable relationships with their business counterparts.

Our projects focus on enhancing the IT effectiveness in the enterprise by putting strategic frameworks, best practices and organizational models in place. We increase the awareness on the potential of technology and develop business models to align IT & operational processes with the growth ambitions of the organization.

Together with senior executives, business managers, IT professionals and client teams you will identify opportunities to maximize the IT capability and define the roadmaps for:

  • IT cost reduction (including outsourcing & shared services)
  • IT-enabled innovation
  • Application rationalization and IT portfolio management
  • Business/IT Relationship Transformation
  • IT Cost Transparency
  • IT Governance
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Cultural change

These transformation programs usually have a strong change management component as many of the enterprises will have to embark upon a cultural change journey so a background in change management will definitely be a pro.

Responsibilities

  • Leading or supporting short term, high profile consulting engagements
  • Development and implementation of new methods & frameworks
  • Acting as a trusted advisor for senior management, business, HR and IT teams
  • Writing the business "case for change"
  • Rapidly assess IT implications of business strategy and the business implications of IT strategy
  • Convince senior executives to take bold actions and coach them through major change programmes
  • Develop creative, right-brain and breakthrough approaches to complex problems

We work with leading companies all over Europe so a willingness to travel - without having to live out of suitcase - will be required.

We are especially interested in those with sector experience in Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications & Technology, Healthcare, , Media, Entertainment, Central and Local Governments. Additional expertise in one or more areas of information technology and/or change management such as application development, emerging technologies, operational IT management, Outsourcing/Off shoring/Shared Services, eCommerce/eBusiness/portal strategies, Project Management, organisational effectiveness & operational excellence, BPR or communications will come in handy.

Qualifications

Junior or Senior? Doesn't matter as long as you are passionate about what you are doing. We are looking for personalities and natural born leaders that have a flair for inspiring, motivating and energizing.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, persuasion and group facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with complex problems entailing frequent interaction with senior executives
  • Strong ability to work independently, within project teams and with limited supervision
  • Excellent planning, organization, negotiation and client service skills
  • Strong strategic, conceptual, and influencing skills
  • Practical approach to problem solving and ability to assimilate information quickly
